Paintings from Crazy Baby

After about 6 months of disinterest in painting, Crazy baby is at it again - with new fervor.
I'm not quite sure what happened - but for the last few months, she didn't feel inspired. And she kept asking me for suggestions for what to paint (not a good sign).

So, we moved on to other mediums: pastels, colored pencils (I got the Furby ones - I need to devote a post just to these amazing pencils) and colored pens. Her interim favorite was pastels. Such bright colors. Fun to blend. But, ultimately they didn't blend easily enough for her. She likes to combine colors (at one point she was mixing every color with white, now it's black) - and pastels just were not allowing her to do this as easily as paint.

Recently, she felt reinvigorated and inspired to paint because she wanted to give each of her teachers a painting and give her Daddy a new painting for his office.

Wanted to show you two of these:
This one is for Daddy (aka Hubby):
This one is for one of her teachers. I really fell in love with this one. I think this one takes her love of rainbows to a sophisticated new level.
