More art supplies

Crazy Baby enjoys her art.

If she were a bonafide artist, she would currently be in her "heart" period.

But, I like her to take advantage of using other media besides watercolors (her favorite, but incredibly messy). Recently, we got her some very special colored pencils. They are Lyra Furby pencils. They are triangular (better for little hands) and unlacquered. There colors are very bright and true and they are virtually unbreakable. A bit more expensive, but supposedly they last forever.

Found a nice way to store them in canning jars.

Also, found these lovely Stockmar crayons online. They are made from beeswax and they smell amazing. I can't believe how bright the colors are - makes me want to color again!

And they come in an attractive tin to boot.

Yes, we do a fair amount of drawing, crafting (pipe cleaners are a favorite), and pretending in our house. If I didn't know better, I would say that we were a Waldorf family. With one huge difference, we do embrace computers, iPads, iPhones, etc. How else is Crazy baby going to play several rounds of tangrams?

Hope you had a lovely weekend.
