Warming up the dining room

I'd like to file this post under: preparing for the winter...

Our dining room/living room combination really needs area rugs. First, rugs help define the space. Two, they cut down on the noise (and we have two very noisy little ones). And three, they give a space a warm feeling.

The dining room is first to get an area rug. When Maitreya was over, she agreed that a simple rug in a brown shade would do. I definitely think that this one fits the bill. And Jamie the Cat likes it too!

We got it at IKEA - it's very simple and two-tone brown.

And here's a close up on the rug (it matches our kitty!)
